In the days leading up to the election Republican candidate Bill Gravell continues to outraise and outspend opponents for the Williamson County judge seat, according to eight-day campaign finance reports.
Gravell, who is justice of the peace for Precinct 3, raked in nearly $28,000 between Sept. 28 and Oct. 27 in political contributions. Blane Conkiln, a senior analyst in employee benefits at the University of Texas at Austin and the Democratic candidate, raised about $1,900 during the same time period. Independent candidate Bill Kelberlau, a local businessman and veteran, showed no political contributions, according to documents.
The three candidates are running for the county judge position that will be vacated at the end of this year when County Judge Dan Gattis steps down after serving 11 years.
Monday was the deadline for candidates to file their eight-day financial reports.
