Bill Gravell, the Republican candidate for Williamson County Judge, has so far raised more campaign money than Democratic candidate Blane Conklin and independent candidate Bill Kelberlau, according to 30-day campaign finance reports. The three candidates are running for the county judge position that will be vacated at the end of this year when County Judge Dan Gattis steps down after serving 11 years. Gravell, who is the county Justice of the Peace for Precinct 3, raised about $26,000 between July 1 and Sept. 27, documents show. Conklin, a senior analyst in employee benefits at the University of Texas at Austin, raised about $20,000 during the same time period. A report from Kelberlau, a local businessman, showed no political contributions and only personal expenditures related to his campaign. Tuesday is the deadline for candidates and political committees that accept political contributions, make political expenditures or are involved in other election-related activity to file 30-day campaign finance reports. Early voting begins Oct. 22. Election Day is Nov. 6. For more details, click the name of each candidate.
