- The Texas Department of Transportation is constructing a $23.3 million railroad overpass providing drivers on FM 1774 a direct route over the Union Pacific Railroad in Magnolia. The project extends from FM 1486 to just north of FM 1488 and was 75 percent complete as of early September.

2. TxDOT’s $18.5 million project to widen FM 1774 from two to four lanes between the Montgomery-Grimes county line and FM 1486 was 12 percent complete as of early September.

3. Allgood Construction is working to widen Hufsmith-Kohrville Road from two to four lanes between Mahaffey Road and FM 2920 in Tomball. The $4.7 million Harris County Precinct 4 project also adds a traffic signal at Mahaffey Road.
