  • Friendswood City Council will meet at 5 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 910 S. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood. In a work session, council members are expected to renew discussions about the city's EMS program, which despite being an award-winning volunteer service, has faced potential financial insolvency.
  
  
  • The Pearland Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall, located at 3519 Liberty Drive, Pearland.

• Lary's Florist and Designs expects to unveil its new expanded location on Tuesday at 315 S. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood.

Transportation

• The Hwy. 288 northbound frontage road and northbound connector ramp to Sam Houston Tollway will be closed from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through the morning of July 10.
