The Hutto Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Friday morning announced Cassandra Harrison as the organization's new executive director.
Harrison's credentials include more than 15 years of experience in new business development, work with nonprofit management and public affairs.
According to Harrison's LinkedIn profile, the new Chamber executive director most recently worked for two years at the Giocosa Foundation, a nonprofit that matches and provides resources for children in Texas' foster care system with families. The Giocosa Foundation has an office in Round Rock.
Harrison has also worked at the Colorado River Alliance, a nonprofit that advocates for the health of the Colorado River, and Fleishman-Hillard, an international public relations and marketing firm.
The new executive director began her career with the Republican Party of Texas and served as an aide for U.S. House Rep. Michael Conaway, R-Midland.
