As a 101-year-old family business, over the years Crabby Daddy has perfected the art of the traditional crawfish boil, owner Nick Chagouris said.

Crabby Daddy first opened as a restaurant on Rayford Road in 1996. However, the Chagouris family’s seafood market located next door has been in business since 1917. Chagouris said the eatery serves boiled crawfish at $3.99 per pound, nearly year-round.

“We go through anywhere from 10,000 to 30,000 pounds of crawfish every single week here,” he said.

The restaurant has six different vendors based in Louisiana who deliver fresh, live crawfish on a daily basis. Chagouris said the eatery’s chef boils them in the restaurant’s secret blend of spices. Each pound of crawfish is served with potatoes, corn on the cob and melted butter.

The restaurant also serves a variety of seafood dishes made with local and exotic fish, including jumbo snow crab, offers a full bar and features live music on a regular basis.
