Before hitting the road, learn more about these seven scheduled closures around I-35 planned by the Texas Department of Transportation for this week:
- The inside lane of the northbound I-35 access road will be closed between Mays Crossing and McNeil Road from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Thursday night.
- Northbound I-35 will be reduced to one lane between RM 620 and Westinghouse Road from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Thursday night. Ramp closures should also be anticipated.
- Southbound I-35 will be reduced to one lane between RM 1431 and Chisholm Trail Road from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Thursday night.
- There will be alternating closures on the southbound I-35 access road across FM 3406/Old Settlers Boulevard from 8 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday.
- The southbound exit for FM 3406, Exit 254, will be closed until further notice. TxDOT recommends drivers use Exit 256 as a detour.
- McNeil Road will be closed under I-35 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. through Thursday night. The closure includes the turnarounds and Bellview Avenue. TxDOT recommends drivers use RM 620 and Hesters Crossing Road as detours.
- There will be alternating closures on FM 3406/Old Settlers Boulevard at I-35 from 8 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday.
- Westbound drivers on FM 3406/Old Settlers Boulevard should use the new turnaround bridge over I-35 until further notice. TxDOT recommends eastbound drivers detour south to the turnaround at US 79/Sam Bass Road.
