Legacy Communities announced its formation Feb. 20 as the developer of Westside Landing, what it calls the final lakeside neighborhood in the Rough Hollow community and the last new-construction project aimed at providing luxury-living lakefront neighborhoods on the south side of Lake Travis.

Westside Landing will offer 41 homesites adjacent to The Peninsula, a Rough Hollow neighborhood featuring estate-sized lots. All Westside Landing homesites will have lake access and all are considered lakeside properties.

Legacy is partnering on the project with Rough Hollow’s developer and will develop and build out the project, which broke ground Feb. 8.

“We went into this project with a thorough understanding of the land and its composition, and worked hard to make each home’s architecture fit its specific location," Cass Brewer, Legacy Communities’ co-principal, said in a release.

Each home features farmhouse-inspired architectural design paired with three functional, three-bedroom floor plans centered on outdoor living, the release said. Optional upgrades include kitchen and master bath packages, versatile casitas that can be used as guest houses, studios, offices, mother-in-law suites and more. Other options include pools and outdoor entertainment areas with outdoor kitchens.

The homes are also constructed with high-efficiency, green building elements and sustainable fixtures and finishes. They are the first homes with option net-zero capability - a solar energy package buyers can select that will eliminate electric costs after one year.

Home prices start in the mid $600s.
