3 Houston-area lane closures to know this weekend, Jan. 26-28

Here are five closures to be aware of when making plans for the weekend, according to the Houston TranStar database:

1. I-10 East, eastbound from Freeport Street to Magnolia Avenue
Two alternating lanes will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through March 10. The remaining lanes will be open.

2. Beltway 8 North westbound from John F. Kennedy Boulevard to Imperial Valley Drive
All westbound lanes closed will overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27. All traffic will be diverted to the frontage road to the Hardy entrance ramp to get back on the Beltway.

3. South Loop westbound from Almeda Road to Scott Street
All westbound lanes will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27. Traffic will be detoured to the Highway 288 northbound ramp, and after a U-turn at Yellowstone Boulevard, will continue on Highway 288 southbound to back to the loop westbound ramp.
