McKinney residents should check the McKinney ISD website and social media pages for updates on potential school closures.

The chance of freezing rain and snowfall Monday evening could impact McKinney ISD schools Tuesday morning.

According to the MISD’s website, the district’s goal to make a final decision whether or not to delay or close schools by 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

MISD will notify parents, employees and students on the district’s Facebook and Twitter pages and MISD’s website. An automated phone calling system will also be used if the district delays or closes schools.

Parents, employees and students should assume a normal school day unless notified. MISD will not send or post a notification to confirm school is in session.

This story will be updated should the district delay or close schools Tuesday.
