No. 10 on our list focuses on Oak Ridge North's master thoroughfare plan:
What we reported
Oak Ridge North City Council unanimously decided to move forward with a master thoroughfare plan for the city last spring. According to city officials, the plan would give the city more control of rights of way and help discover thoroughfares to be developed in the city.
City Council members unanimously approved a payment of $14,874 to Brown and Gay Engineers Inc. for the master thoroughfare plan study at the Nov. 20 City Council meeting. The preliminary report has been completed, and city staff is reviewing it and all support data.
A presentation of the master thoroughfare plan study for City Council members will occur in late January or early February.
