Many local offices and businesses are closed this week for the Christmas holiday. However, residents can enjoy a variety of activities Dec. 24-29. Here are a few things to know this week. 1. Christmas movie on Sunday, Dec. 24 Regal Lone Star 19 & IMAX, located at 24720 Hwy. 249, Tomball, offers a Christmas Eve showing of the 1946 classic "It's a Wonderful Life." School, campus, office closures In addition to city and county offices closing, Lone Star College-Tomball offices are closed Dec. 22-Jan. 3. The LSC-Tomball Community Library and the Malcolm Purvis Library are closed Dec. 24-26 for the Christmas holiday. The LSC-Tomball library closes at 5 p.m. Dec. 29 for the New Year's holiday as well. Students in Tomball and Magnolia ISDs are on winter break this week. 3. Junkin Gypsies Tomball The paint and project workshop studio hosts a junior walk-in workshop for ages 5-17 on Dec. 28.
