San Marcos, Buda, Kyle and Hays County offices to close for Christmas and New Year holidays

City and county offices will be closed during the Christmas holiday.

City offices and facilities will be closed during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Additionally, trash and recycling pickup may be affected by the holidays.

San Marcos
San Marcos Municipal Court at the Hays County Government Center, 712 S. Stagecoach Trail, will be closed Friday, Dec. 22. The San Marcos Public Library will close Sunday, Dec. 24. The city of San Marcos offices—including city hall, the library, the San Marcos Activity Center, the municipal building, the San Marcos Animal Shelter, the Household Hazardous Waste Center and the electric utility office—will be closed Monday, Dec. 25 to Tuesday, Dec. 26.

Buda
Buda city offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 25 and Tuesday, Dec. 26 for Christmas. Trash and recycling will be picked up on Thursday, Dec. 28 during the week of Christmas and on Thursday, Jan. 4 during the week of New Year's Eve. No green waste pick-up will be available Monday, Dec. 25. The next green waste pick-up day will be Monday, Jan. 8.

Kyle
Kyle city offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 25 and Tuesday, Dec. 26 for Christmas and Monday, Jan. 1 for New Year's Day. Trash and recycling pick-ups will occur the day after the regularly scheduled pick-up from Monday, Dec. 25 to Friday, Dec. 29.

Hays County
Hays County offices, including the San Marcos Municipal Court located at the Hays County Government Center, will be closed Friday, Dec. 22 to Tuesday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 1 for the Christmas holiday. Commissioners Court will not be held on Tuesday, Dec. 26. In addition, the Law Library, located in the Hays County Government Center, will be closed Thursday, Dec. 21, Thursday, Dec. 28 to Friday, Dec. 29 and Tuesday, Jan. 2. The county’s two recycling and solid waste centers will be closed Friday, Dec. 22 to Tuesday, Dec. 26.
