I moved to Lewisville three years ago to work for Community Impact Newspaper as the editor of the Grapevine-Colleyville-Southlake edition.
In those cities I attended city council meetings, covering the latest budget, development, transportation and zoning issues. I also covered Grapevine-Colleyville and Carroll ISD meetings to track the latest school board happenings.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, but when it was announced this summer that we would be expanding to Lewisville, Flower Mound and Highland Village, I could not pass on the opportunity to write about things that were occurring in my own backyard.
As a local I understand the need for a news source that keeps residents informed of the changes and challenges of a growing area and how it affects our daily lives. That’s why each month I will provide you with stories that answer the question of, “What does this mean to me?”
