The Domain hosts the 10th annual Dogtoberfest Austin on Saturday Oct. 21, featuring a canine costume contest, wiener dog races, pet portraits, a silent auction and over 50 pet-related vendor booths.
All proceeds collected at the event benefit local dog rescue missions. In 2016, more than 6,000 people and their dogs attended the event, according to a news release.
General admission is free, but attendees can purchase $20 VIP tickets for access to a tent with drinks and a fajita buffet.
For $30, participants can register for the DogtoberTROT race through The Domain 2 in teams of two, consisting of one human and one canine. Additional team members under 12 years old are $10 and over years old 12 are $30. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the race starts at 9 a.m.
Make sure to stop by the
Community Impact Newspaper booth to meet our staff, pick up a paper and collect treats. The event runs from 10 a.m-4 p.m. at The Domain 2, 3225 Amy Donovan Plaza, Austin near the lawn. Visit
