Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick joins Texas Sens. Paul Bettencourt, R-Houston, and Joan Huffman, R-Houston, for a Hurricane Harvey recovery information session Tuesday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston. Scheduled to last from 6:30-8:30 p.m., the event includes a public Q&A once representatives from the following agencies provide updates on their respective recovery efforts:
  • Kevin Hannes, federal coordinating officer of the Federal Emergency Management Agency
  • Col. Paul Owen, southwestern division commander for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The corps owns and operates the Barker and Addicks reservoirs.
  • John Barton, Texas A&M University associate vice chancellor and representative of Rebuild Texas, a commission created by Gov. Greg Abbott to coordinate statewide recovery resources.
  • Ann Idsal, chief clerk of the Texas General Land Office. The TGLO distributes funding for FEMA buyouts.
  • Nim Kidd, Texas Division of Emergency Management chief
