PEC Hill Country Solar Tour
The City of Austin Cultural Arts Division will host its final Art After Six lecture series of the summer with a talk on mixed-media art making. Southwest Austinites can also shop at the Dripping Springs art show or take a tour of Hill County solar installations.

Art After Six Lecture Series: Mixed Bag
Artists Larry Akers, Rehab Elsadek, Jennifer Chenoweth and Jennifer Beth Guerin will discuss the use of mixed media in art making, including how it differs from using a single medium and its inherent challenges/advantages. Free.

More than 50 artists will be featured in this two-day event organized by The Artists Alliance of the Hill Country and co-sponsored by the city of Dripping Springs. Original artwork will include mediums such as digital, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media and more. The event will also include live music. Free.

PEC's Hill Country Solar Tour
Guests will have the chance to visit homes with solar installations during the Hill Country Solar Tour, hosted by Pedernales Electric Cooperative. Homeowners, installers and PEC experts will be onsite to answer questions. A tour of the Jester King Brewery solar installation is included. Free.

World Art and Culture Event: South Asia
Sunset Valley Arts Commission presents a World Art & Culture event on South Asia. The event will feature performances by Anuradha Naimpally's Austin Dance India and Baharata Natyam, as well as other dances and lessons, a Sunset Valley resident's concert, Nisha henna artists, Tarka food tasting, Rangoli making and artifact viewing.
