A dual bridge will be constructed on Gosling Road over Spring Creek as part of a future joint project between Montgomery County Precinct 3 and Harris County Precinct 4.
The counties are waiting to see if the project qualifies for state funding through the Houston-Galveston Area Council’s Transportation Improvement Program this fall. If the project qualifies, TxDOT will fund 80 percent of the $9.27 million project and the bridge would be built to different standards.
Pamela Rocchi, Harris County Precinct 4 Capital Improvement Projects director, said that the bridge will qualify for funding, it’s just a matter of determining when future funds will be available.
Rocchi said project development could begin as early as 2018.
