1. Local first responders participate in 9/11 stair climb Monday
Members of Lake Travis Fire Rescue and the Bee Cave Police Department will climb the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center for the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

2. Lakeway country club holds charity tournament Monday

3. Professor gives chemistry talk to men’s group Wednesday
The Lakeway Men’s Breakfast Club's weekly speaker series features University of Texas professor Katherine Alexis Biberdorf, who will give a speech titled, “Fun with Chemistry.” Continental breakfast will be available for $1 starting at 7 a.m. Biberdorf’s presentation begins at 8 a.m. The event takes place at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek, Lakeway. 4. Recycling center collects hazardous waste Wednesday
The Lake Travis Regional Re-Use and Recycling Center accepts products that could be hazardous to the environment, including household cleaners, pool chemicals, batteries, paint and automotive products. Collections will be accepted from 9 a.m.-noon. Find out more at

5. Special Needs Forum talks adulthood Thursday
