Blue Starlite Mini-Urban Drive-In is offering free movie passes to Hurricane Harvey evacuees through Sept. 16. The drive-in is kicking off its September film schedule with its annual Labor Day weekend movie marathon featuring film classics from the 1980s such as “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “The Breakfast Club.” Family-friendly films and activities will be hosted throughout the remainder of the month. Proof of vaccinations for rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and bordetella is required. Referrals for discounted vaccination packages can be acquired through the facility.
The Southwest Family YMCA of Austin welcomes evacuees to use their facilities to shower, charge phones, have a cup of coffee or exercise for free. The Y offers a variety of exercises classes daily.
