1. Attend the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce mixer
The mixer at the Asian American Resource Center showcases local Chinese American community organizations and retailers. Authentic Chinese food will be served to guests. Zhou Zhencheng, a commercial counselor at the Consulate General of the People’s Republic in China in Houston gives a special presentation.

2. Try out music trivia bingo at Apanas Coffee
Apanas Coffee combines trivia, bingo and music Thursday night. The bingo cards have pictures of album covers and instead of calling numbers, the emcee plays audio clips. Players have the chance to win a prize.

3. Watch horror comedy at 4th Tap Brewing Co-op
The brewery continues its annual Fright Night monthly series this weekend. Watch improvised horror comedy hosted by Camp sLaughter and Red Handed Improv, followed by a special screening. Beers are on special for $3.

SATURDAY
4. Attend the Austin Pride Festival
Check out the largest annual LGBTQ advocacy and fundraising event in Central Texas on Saturday. Dozens of non-profit organizations, social clubs, live music, games and over 140 vendors are present. The festival is also the single largest HIV testing day of the year.

5. Enjoy live music at Domain Northside
Domain Northside kicks off a
three-part music series called Northside Amplified this weekend. The event starts with an electronic music set by DJ 2dQ followed by the Matt Wilson Band. The event continues this fall.

SUNDAY
6. Take your child to a Texas Cyclocross Project clinic
The nonprofit youth cycling outreach program hosts its 2017 participant orientation and clinic at the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park. The kick-off clinic includes introductory remarks, basic bicycle care and fit instructions, and a few drills. Texas Cyclocross Project uses cycling to help foster confidence, competence and character in young children.
