This weekend is full of performances, short films and a mud volleyball tournament. Here are some events to keep in mind.
Friday-Saturday
1. 'The Complete Works of William Shakespeare' presented at Bonnie Wenk Park
McKinney Arts Under the Stars presents parodies of the plays of William Shakespeare in the form of short comedies or merged form with three actors. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. This free performance begins at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Bonnie Wenk Park, 2996 Virginia Parkway, McKinney. The Melon Dash 5K and fun run on Saturday will benefit the League of Animal Protectors.[/caption]

2. Race to benefit the League of Animal Protectors
The Melon Dash 5K and fun run will benefit the League of Animal Protectors. Racers will receive a goodie bag, towels, refreshments and watermelon. Saturday’s event begins at 7:45 a.m. at Towne Lake Park Recreational Area, 1405 Wilson Creek Parkway, McKinney. Tickets are $20 for the fun run and $35 for the 5K, and can be found
online.
3. Red Cup Classic comes to McKinney
The second annual Red Cup Classic Mud Volleyball tournament consists of coed teams of six to 12 people playing mud volleyball. Attendees must be age 21 or older. Other festivities include a live DJ, food and beverage vendors and side games, including beer pong, corn hole and toilet seat toss. Saturday’s event runs from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at Myers Park & Event Center, 7117 County Road 166, McKinney. Tickets are $449 per team and can be found

4. Buster Keaton films show at McKinney Performing Arts Center
The North Texas American Theatre Organ Society presents a festival of Buster Keaton classic short films Saturday from 7:30-10 p.m. Tickets range from: adults $12 (in advance) or $14 (at the door); children 12 years old and younger, $5 (in advance) or $7 (at the door); and seniors 65 years old and older are free with a ticket.
