Solar Eclipse: History, Science & Belief
In preparation for the solar eclipse, the Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center hosts this indoor class to explore the history of solar eclipses and the science behind them. Participants will also get to create their own solar eclipse viewers for safe observation of the spectacle on Aug. 21. Hydrate Houston Back to School Bash
The Learning Experience hosts a free back-to-school bash to benefit local firefighters. The event includes Pinterest-inspired crafts, games and edible treats. The Texas Taco, Tequila and Margarita Festival takes place this weekend and features a variety of taco vendors, tequila flights and tastings, margaritas, a kids zone and live music.
