NurturMe, a baby food company based out of Dripping Springs that focuses on “tummy friendly” organic meals and snacks designed to support overall digestive health, is now available in 400 Target stores throughout the United States.
NurturMe also secured an investment from Advantage Capital Agribusiness Partners to expand inventory for the Target rollout, as well as a rollout at Kroger stores later this fall, CEO Caroline Freedman told
Community Impact Newspaper.
“Advantage Capital funded us last summer for $4 million, which covered our last expansion, reformulation of our line and new branding,” she said. “We got great traction, and the additional funding is an inventory play now that we’re in major retailers.”
NurturMe is the only company creating baby and toddler food that is free of gluten, soy, egg and dairy, Freedman said. By removing allergens, the food is safe for “sensitive bellies,” she said.
The company also incorporates probiotics into its line of products, she said.
