August home sales increase year over year in Georgetown

Home sales increased and prices fell in Georgetown this August compared to the same time last year, according to data from Unlock MLS.

The 78628 ZIP code saw the most homes sold out of the three Georgetown-area ZIP codes, with 123 homes sold in August. Overall, 274 homes sold this month compared to 251 last August.

On average, homes spent fewer days on the market in the 78626 and 78633 ZIP codes, while spending more time on the market in the 78628 ZIP code.

Home prices fell in all three ZIP codes. The largest decline was 18% in the 78628 ZIP code.

The majority of homes sold in the area were priced between $300,000 and $499,999.

This August saw 319 new listings and 275 closed sales in the Georgetown market. There were 273 homes under contract.
