John Darby resigned his position Friday as Hutto Area Chamber of Commerce president and CEO. No reason was given for Darby’s departure in a statement from James Guzman, chairman of the board of directors. “John played a pivotal role when he came on board three years ago as CEO/president,” the statement read. “As a board, we are very thankful for all of his hard work and appreciate John’s service to Hutto. He’s been a strong proponent for Hutto, and we wish him well in all of his future endeavors.” When Darby came to Hutto on Aug. 18, 2014, he had 16 years of chamber and nonprofit experience. He also once served as CEO of the Texas Chiropractic Association.
