1. South Stadium Drive extension

The second phase of the South Stadium Drive extension project is half finished. The project will extend the existing bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and Oyster Creek, which will connect to the portion of Stadium Drive behind Constellation Field. The project will also involve building a retaining wall, roadway approaches and drainage as well as other associated work. Timeline: February 2017-early 2018 Cost: $11.5 million Funding source: Imperial Redevelopment District

2. Industrial Boulevard reconstruction

The city of Sugar Land is 40 percent through the reconstruction of 3,700 feet of roadway on Industrial Boulevard from Reed Road to Hwy. 90. The project is part of Schlumberger’s agreement to relocate its headquarters to the city. The relocation of franchise utilities is ongoing. Timeline: December 2016-fall 2017 Cost: $3.5 million Funding sources: city of Sugar Land,Fort Bend County

3. Williams Trace Boulevard reconstruction (Phase 1)

The city is about halfway through reconstructing Williams Trace Boulevard between Austin Parkway to Hwy. 6. The project will reconstruct the existing roadway, narrow lanes from 12 to 11 feet wide, install new water lines and storm sewers for improved drainage, and add a 10-foot-wide pedestrian path. Timeline: January 2017-March 2018 Cost: $5.9 million Funding source: city of Sugar Land

Completed projects

4. Conrad Construction Co. repaved Gregory Boulevard between Fondren Road and McLain Boulevard in Missouri City. Cost: $3.3 million 5. The city of Missouri City completed the two-lane extension of Hurricane Lane between Trammel-Fresno Road and Lake Olympia Parkway, where it will connect to the Fort Bend Tollway. Cost: $6.4 million 6. Work was completed in June on a right-turn lane at the intersection of Hwy. 6 and Crown Garden Trail. Northbound traffic can now turn right onto Crown Garden. The project was managed by LJA Engineers on behalf of the Imperial Redevelopment District. Cost: Unavailable
