20 lane closures planned along Hwy. 290 in Cy-Fair this weekend, July 28-30



Freeway closures

Hwy. 290 westbound from Mason Road to Becker Road



  • One alternate lane will be closed from 4 a.m. Saturday, July 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 31.

  • Alternating lanes will be closed for striping, including ramps to the Grand Parkway.


Hwy. 290 eastbound from Hollister Road to Pinemont Drive



  • One outside lane will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, July 28, to 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29.


Hwy. 290 westbound from Pinemont Drive to Hollister Road



  • One outside lane will be closed on Saturday, July 29, from 7 a.m.-1 p.m.


Hwy. 290 westbound connector ramp the Grand Parkway



  • Total closure overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, July 28, to 4 a.m. Saturday, July 29.

  • Drivers can detour to the frontage road at Fairfield Place and turn right onto the Grand Parkway’s frontage road.


Hwy. 290 westbound from Mason Road to Fairfield Place



  • Total closure overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, July 28, to 4 a.m. Saturday, July 29.

  • Drivers can detour to the frontage road at Fairfield Place and re-enter the mainlanes past Fairfield Place.


Hwy. 290 westbound exit ramp to Huffmeister Road



  • Total closure until further notice.


Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Hwy. 6/FM 1960



  • Total closure until further notice.


Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Cypress Rosehill/Fry Road

Frontage road closures

Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound frontage road at Hwy. 6/FM 1960



  • Both U-turn lanes will be closed until further notice.


Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road at Fairbanks N. Houston Road



  • One U-turn lane will be closed continuously until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1.

  • One inside lane will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, July 28, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 31.


Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road at Mason Road entrance ramp



  • Total closure from 2-8 a.m. on Saturday, July 29.

  • Drivers can detour by entering the Mason Road entrance ramp to the Hwy. 290 mainlanes, exit to Cypress Rosehill/Fry Road and U-turn at the westbound frontage road to Mueschke Road.


Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound frontage road at Huffmeister Road



  • Both U-turn lanes will be closed until further notice.


Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound frontage road at Mason Road



  • Both U-turn lanes will be closed until further notice.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Jersey Drive to Jones Road



  • Two outside lanes will be closed until 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from West Road to N. Eldridge Parkway



  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Tuesday, Aug. 15.


Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Hwy. 6/FM 1960 to Huffmeister Road



  • One inside lane will be closed from 5 a.m. Saturday, July 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 31.

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, July 28, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 31.

  • Drivers can detour to the frontage road and U-turn.


Huffmeister Road northbound and southbound under Hwy. 290



  • Total closure from 5 a.m. Saturday, July 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 31.

  • Drivers can detour to the frontage road and U-turn.


Mueschke Road southbound under Hwy. 290



  • Total closure from 2-8 a.m. on Saturday, July 29.

  • Drivers can take the westbound frontage road to Mason Road, U-turn to the eastbound frontage road and enter the Mason Road entrance ramp to Hwy. 290 eastbound mainlanes.


Windfern Road northbound and southbound from Hwy. 290 to W. Little York Road



  • Total closure until 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30.

  • Drivers can detour to Gessner Road.
