Village of  Sterling Ridge opened in 1999 on the western end of The Woodlands, in proximity to the Carlton Woods community. At least 2,500 homes are in the village, which is near FM 2978 and Woodlands Parkway. The village is also home to a variety of parks, a library and a YMCA.
