With items like the Rattlesnake Burger and spicy chicken tacos on the menu, the menu at Uncle Tony's was crafted for hot and spicy food enthusiasts and comfort cuisine lovers alike.

The restaurant relocated from FM 1314 in Conroe to Sawdust Road in The Woodlands area in April under the ownership of Tony Marron. The owner said he first started the family-owned restaurant in 2010 in Porter after he noticed many restaurants did not use a lot of seasoning in their food.

“In my case, I love seasoning, and I like to taste a lot of flavor,” Marron said. “In high school, cooking was my passion. I was going to go to culinary school, but I went in a different direction. Years later, I said ‘People always want to eat and have good food.’ So that’s why I opened the restaurant in 2010.”

Since then, Marron has created a menu that consists of specialty burgers, tacos, salads and sandwiches that all have a distinctive blend of spices.

The signature burger at Uncle Tony’s is the Rattlesnake Burger, which also earned third place at the Texas Throwdown Burger and Music Festival in The Woodlands earlier this spring. The burger is made with certified Angus beef mixed with special pork sausage. The burger can also be customized with grilled pickled jalapenos, grilled fresh habaneros or smoked peppered bacon.

“For our burgers, we use quality ingredients,” Marron said. “We use fresh Angus beef and season and mix them every morning. So when you bite into the patty, you have flavor throughout the patty. We try to make our patties thinner so every bite you get, you have flavor throughout.”

Morran said the restaurant is expected to grow in the future as well to include a bar service and an expanded kitchen.

“Each month we’re going to [have more people] trickle in,” he said. “Someone will come in and realize how good the food is. We’ve had a couple first-time customers in here four or five times already.”
