Transportation Updates

The city of Cedar Park began construction on several intersection improvements in May.

The roadway intersection improvement project includes constructing right-turn lanes at two points along Brushy Creek Road, at (A) Vista Ridge Boulevard and (B) Lynnwood Trail, and another right-turn lane on the southbound side of Lakeline Boulevard at (C) Old Mill Road. The project also includes construction of a median break on  Discovery Boulevard just south of Whitestone Boulevard, which will allow drivers to more easily get out of the nearby IHOP restaurant, said Darwin Marchell, Cedar Park director of engineering.

The roadway intersection improvements are capital improvement projects identified in the fiscal year 2016-17 budget, and the project is funded by the Cedar Park Community Development Corp., or 4B Board. Marchell said the roadway projects are expected to last about five months.
