On Friday, the Pflugerville Education Foundation delivered Innovative Teaching Grants to educators throughout Pflugerville ISD. Each of the fourteen grants, worth roughly $5,000, totaled $55,000.
Some of the projects awarded grants included art-based lessons for at-risk students, the inclusion of robotic kits for Maker Monday lessons, STEM-based lab stations and virtual reality kits for invirtual field trips.
Grant winners include:

- "May the Pforce Be With Us" by Park Crest Middle School for $5,000
- "Oh the Places We'll Go" by Cele Middle School for $5,000
- "Oh the Places We'll Go!" by Park Crest Middle School for $5,000
- "Pfeelings Pfirst Project" by all elementary campuses for $471.37
- "Programming the Future" by Delco Primary School for $4,955.25
- "Pure Genius: Tool Kits taht Inspire Innovation" by Rowe Lane Elementary for $4,977.36
- "Ride and Read" by Murchison Elementary for $5,000
- "Virtual Reality Bridges the Gap for All Students" by Northwest Elementary School for $4,998.81
- "Wii See Them" by Kelly Lane Middle School for $1,019.88
The Community Grant award was given to Park Crest Middle School for $960.63 for its community garden project. Community members selected the project as the winner via social media.
