The Giving Spirits Concert Series benefiting
Mental Health America of Fort Bend County will have music by Soul Infinity. The variety band covers classic songs as well as contemporary hits. The Historic Richmond Association presents
Motor Madness and The Art Walk at 402 Morton St. from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Motor Madness is a car show, with awards given at 2 p.m. The Art Walk will be along Morton and Third streets. Houston’s Art Cars will be on display and artists will display their work in participating Morton Street merchants’ shops. Mother’s Day Cake decorating
Missouri City will host a Mother’s Day Cake decorating event at 1522 Texas Parkway in Missouri City. Families can decorate a cake with their own unique designs. There will be a photo booth, face painting, giveaways and more. $12 (per cake kit). To register call 281-403-8533 or visit

Heroes & Hope 5K & Children's 1K
The event offers a 5k run/walk race starting at 7:30 and ending at 8:30 a.m. and a children's 1k beginning at 9 a.m. These are followed by an awards ceremony. The race will be held at Sugar Land Memorial Park, 15300 University Blvd. in Sugar Land.
Tea and Targets
At the 1830s Jones Stock Farm, moms can learn how to defend themselves with target practice. The event takes place throughout midday, with sessions beginning at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The event is free with general admission to the park.
