HAAMS Corporate Battle of the Bands
Austin-based business employees from Cirrus Logic, H-E-B, Athenahealth, Intel, Maxwell Locke & Ritter, Netspend, OpenSymmetry, RetailMeNot and more will showcase their unsung talents at the 10th annual Corporate Battle of the Bands, hosted by the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, or HAAMS. Since 2008, the Corporate Battle of the Bands has raised over half a million dollars for HAAMS, which aims to keep Austin's musicians healthy and rocking out. Tickets are $10 and can be purchase online.

Tour the Talent- Art Studio Tour
The Artists Alliance of the Hill Country, or AAHC will sponsor its fourth annual "Tour the Talent" Art Studio Tour. This admission-free event will visit five different studios and highlight a diverse selection of innovative fine art including original paintings, jewelry, pottery, poetry books, photography, fused glass and sculptures. Members include artists with a wide range of mediums and styles as well as art supporters and patrons who gather monthly to attend educational presentations, art demonstrations, studio visits and instant gallery events. Giveback Party
The HT Group and Dell will present the fifth annual Giveback Party, which has raised over $125,000 to date for the women’s empowerment nonprofit Dress for Success. The family-friendly afternoon includes a full roster of activities and networking opportunities with the business community. The “swampadelic” zydeco Dr. Zog Band and country musician Kurt Grein will provide entertainment and drinks and an all-you-can-eat crawfish boil will be offered. A food truck will also be on site. Kid-friendly activities include face-painting, balloon animals and photos with crawfish. Admission is $50 for an adult, which includes the all-you-can-eat crawfish boil and a complimentary drink ticket, or $35 for guests under 21 (food only). Admission for kids under 12 is free. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Saturday Morning Superheroes- symphony concert
Cinematic Symphony will perform the music of popular DC Comics scores including "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," "Batman: The Animated Series," "Scooby Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon," "Superman: The Animated Series" and more. Trivia and prizes will go on throughout the afternoon. The concert is free and is open to all ages. Costumes are welcome.

Spring Fling
The Sunset Valley Community and Economic Development Committee is hosting its annual Spring Fling social. The menu includes a taco salad bar, tea and pink lemonade. For dessert, guests will receive a coupon for a cup of Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt (up to $5 value). A face painter will also be on-site. The event is free for Sunset Valley residents.

Travis County 5K run
Travis County is hosting its third 5K run. Proceeds from this year’s TC5K benefit the Hill Country Conservancy, whose mission is to protect open spaces and water quality in Central Texas. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers by age bracket. There will also be a Kids K for children ages eight and under immediately following the conclusion of the 5K run. The cost for the 5K race is $40. The Kids K is $10. A price increase is expected after May 6.
