The city of Conroe canceled its City Council meetings this week for lack of a quorum.
City Manager Paul Virgadamo said several council members are out of town and another was unable to attend the meetings, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. The council will instead meet at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 1.
The council was scheduled to discuss several items, including a smoking ban in Conroe bars, a resolution that supports the creation of Municipal Utility District No. 90 on more than 40 acres of land, waivers for a telecommunications tower project and amendments to the wastewater master plant.
