Hand-cut fries are topped with brisket, bacon and melted cheese in The Shack signature side dish, the Southern Rock. The dish is sold for $7.

The Shack offers several different types of french fries, but the Southern Rock fries are the most loaded and the most popular with customers, owner Joe Duong said.

“It’s definitely has the Southern comfort appeal, which a lot of people like,” Duong said. “You add in some Texas brisket, and bacon and melted cheese make everything better. You can't go wrong.”

Although The Shack has several “sidekicks,” the eatery is known mainly for its burgers. Signature burgers include the Fireman—with beef, pepper jack cheese, bacon, fried pickles and a spicy honey drizzle ($11)—and the Cooter Jack—with beef, smoky barbecue sauce, chipotle mayonnaise and onion strings ($8).
