Pulled pork, barbecue sauce, queso, pico de gallo and sour cream top beer-battered french fries to make up the Redneck Fries appetizer at The Backyard Grill.
General Manager Kyle Bowen said this $8.79 dish aligns with the restaurant’s country cowboy theme.
“Everything we do here has something to do with our theme,” he said. “It makes you feel like this is the stuff you would throw together in your own backyard.”
Firecracker chili and the Killer Rojo burger are among other unique menu items, but the restaurant also serves up classics such as chicken-fried steak, fried catfish and onion rings.
Bowen said these dishes could be enjoyed with one of 48 beers on tap at the bar.
The Backyard Grill owner Mark McShaffry hosts events at the restaurant, caters special events and is involved in community outreach through organizations such as Cy-Hope, Cy-Fair Educational Foundation and Reach Unlimited.
