District 8 Transportation Town Hall

Austin City Council Member Ellen Troxclair of District 8 will host a dinner and mobility talk this Friday night. Circle C residents can partake in a food truck dinner and learn about the rollout of the city's $720 mobility bond and how it will affect District 8 from the city's transportation department staff. Participants are encouraged to provide feedback on the Austin Strategic Mobility Plan. The food truck portion of the event is exclusive to Circle C residents, but the town hall is open to the public. Free.

Cheetah Fest

Sunset Valley Elementary School's annual carnival and silent auction, the Cheetah Fest, will feature games, inflatables, face painting and outdoor entertainment while a silent auction takes place inside. Admission is free, but games require tickets or an all-play wristband, which can be purchased here. Proceeds support grants to teachers for field trips and equipment for the classroom, provide funds for a technology specialist position at the school, and provide student scholarships for after-school programs.

Articulture Anniversary Party & ACLU of Texas Fundraiser

Articulture Designs LLC will celebrate its one-year anniversary by hosting a fundraiser for the Texas Chapter of American Civil Liberties Union. A concert with Akina Adderley & The Upper East Side will be held, and complimentary beer and wine will be offered. The Shinshman Kebap Food Truck and a photo booth will also be on-site. Interested attendees are encouraged to RSVP. Admission is free, but the business is requesting a $5 donation be made to the Texas Capter of the ACLU. The business is also staying open late and donating 10 percent of the day's sales to the organization.

Uncle Billy’s Brewery & Smokehouse is resuming its tradition of Gospel Brunch Sundays. Specials include $3 bloody marys and mimosas from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and live music by Graham Wilkinson and Friends from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Menu items include breakfast tacos and smoked brisket hash.
