The city of McKinney and Collin College will break ground on the Public Safety Training Center at 9 a.m. April 7.
The training center will be a 12,800-square-foot emergency services training facility and will offer new training options for active emergency personnel and academy cadets.
McKinney and Allen worked in partnership with Collin College to develop the center for students, and local police and fire departments.
Construction on the facility is set to cost roughly $13 million. McKinney has committed $2.2 million.
