After nearly a year-long hiatus, the Rayford Road Civic Association is reaching out to community members to resume the organization and continue playing a role in the local community, according to the group's Facebook page.

Paul Cote, an initial founder of the group, said the goal was to put together a list of things the organization has accomplished so far and create a vision for the future.

The nonprofit group formed in 2013 to help address the unincorporated area’s residential concerns and improve communication between residents, property owners associations and the boards of various taxing entities.

According to the U.S Census Bureau, the population in the 77386 ZIP code, which includes the Rayford Road area, in 2015 was estimated at 45,501 people up from 36,478 in 2011. The Rayford corridor was also identified as one of the heaviest-traveled roads in Precinct 3 through the South Montgomery County Mobility Study.

Past meetings featured special guests, such as U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady, R-The Woodlands, to also speak with residents of the Rayford Road area and go over concerns in the community.
