At its Feb. 13 meeting, the Klein ISD board of trustees advanced several facility improvement projects.

The board approved a $1.5 million project to remodel the Hildebrandt Intermediate School kitchen.

The board also approved the design for $300,000 worth of classroom sound reinforcement equipment. The improvements will improve teacher audibility, KISD Communications Specialist Kate Hope said. The work is expected to be complete in August.

The design for a $4 million turf replacement project for stadiums at Klein Collins, Klein Forest and Klein Oak high schools was also approved at the February meeting.
