March for Kindness

The march will proceed from Maplewood Elementary, 3808 Maplewood Ave., Austin, to Patterson Park, 4200 Brookview Road, Austin, to demonstrate the school's mission of promoting peace, respect and kindness between students and within society. The event will feature music, speeches from members of city government and Austin ISD, and dancers, cheerleaders and band members from McCallum High School who will lead the students in song and cheer. Free.

Sat., March 11

Kids Camps and Class Fair

Orange Coworking will host this event where families can learn about local camps and classes. Special event pricing and giveaways from local businesses such as the Art Garage, Crafter's Paradise, Girls Empowerment Network, Mentor Wings, Squishy Banana Studios and more will be available.

Austin By Austin Local Business meets Local Artists

Creative Clothes and Counter is participating in this year's Austin by Austin event hosted by the Austin Chronicle. An in-store event will be held featuring a sale on locally made art, including coasters, jewelry, pottery and clocks. A meet and greet with the artists will also be held. Refreshments will be provided. Free.

Family Canvas Painting
Families can work on a single canvas together or paint separate canvases to display together. An art teacher will offer some choices on colors and design so all participants will leave with a  unique creation. $16 per canvas or two for $30.
