March 9-10: UIL One-Act Play Contest

March 10: Friday Night Bites


Bridgeland hosts 10 local food trucks, live music from Spellbound and a pizza-making corner for children at this monthly event. Food trucks include The Sauer Kraut, Jamaican Pon Di Road, Arepa Station, Savor the Bites, Mingo’s Latin Kitchen, The Baker’s Man, Wings on Wheels, Truck on the Bayou, Off Beat Eatz and Bahama Bucks. March 11-12: ‘Americana’


The Houston Choral Society celebrates the varied repertoire of American choral music with two performances. Artistic Director Kevin Klotz leads the concert featuring “Frostiana: Seven Country Songs,” a seven-movement choral piece based on the text of seven of Robert Frost’s poems. 7 p.m. (Saturday), 3 p.m. (Sunday). $10 (children ages 5 and younger), $20 (veterans, students and seniors), $25 (adults).
