11 things to do in Cedar Park and Leander over spring break, March 13-20

Leander ISD students will be out of school for spring break starting this weekend. Here are a few events to consider adding into your schedule when planning for the upcoming weekend and next week, with and without the kids.

March 9 — ‘The Price is Right Live.’ The interactive stage show gives eligible individuals the chance to play classic games from television’s longest- running game show. Contestants can win cash, appliances and possibly even a new car by playing games, including Plinko, Cliffhangers, The Big Wheel and the Showcase. 7:30 p.m. No purchase necessary to play. March 9-25 — ‘All Because of Agatha. ’A newly married couple buys a house in historic Salem, Massachusetts, and the house has the feature of being visited each year by a destructive witch named Agatha Forbes. 8 p.m. (Fri. and Sat.), 3 p.m. (March 12). $10 (age 10 and younger), $20 (adults), discounts available. March 10-12 — Anniversary celebration. March 13 —Bow Wow Readers. Kids in kindergarten-third grade are invited to read to a certified Bow Wow Reading Dog. Practice reading skills with Tex and read to him for 10-15 minutes. March 14 — Lego Fun Day. Join the Cedar Park Public Library for an afternoon of Lego fun at this come-and-go event. March 15 — Family Movie Wednesday: Zootopia. Join the Cedar Park Public Library for their spring break family movie, Zootopia. March 15-19 — Cirque du Soleil: ‘OVO.’ Viewed by more than 4.5 million people worldwide since the show premiered in 2009, “OVO” is now being performed in arenas. The cast of “OVO” is composed of 50 performing artists from 12 countries specializing in many acrobatic acts. March 18—Beer Train-Bluebonnet Beer Co. Passengers can partake in a custom beer tasting led by David and Clare Hulama, owners and brewers at Bluebonnet Beer Co., and food pairings by chef Todd Engel and chef Rob Snow of Greenhouse Craft Food.
