Food drive
Tomball ISD hosts a food drive to help stock local food banks for summertime. The donated goods will be picked up at all campuses on Tuesday, March 7. Donations requested include: non-perishable food, such as canned goods, rice, flour and baby formula; household items, such as paper towels and toilet paper; and toiletries, such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes and deodorant. 281-357-3220 ext. 2308.

Flag retirement ceremony
Bear Arms of Texas hosts a ceremony to properly retire flags that have become faded, worn or damaged. The ceremony is open to the public, and attendees can bring damaged flags to retire. Free. 6-8 p.m. Bear Arms of Texas, 829 FM 1774, Magnolia. 346-703-0192.

Cooking 4 Hometown Heroes
Hosted by Texans United for Freedom and TUFF Kids, the event features chili and beans cookoffs, a dinner to honor local first responders, a raffle and a silent auction. Rally in the Alley
The annual vintage auto show features more than 100 pre-1968 vehicles as well as live music and assorted vendors. Trophies will be awarded for best of show as well as in the hotrod, custom and truck categories. The
Magnolia Bluegrass Friends hosts a monthly jam open to the public. The group plays—or jams—at the West Montgomery County Community Development Center.
