Second annual Sun Run
Science Hall Elementary School’s student council hosts the event to raise money to help build a new track and field facility for the school. Anyone can learn about cost-effective organic gardening at the library. The class will cover basic gardening tips. Attendees learn more about soil, fertilizer, pests and harvesting. The class includes an optional farm tour of Buda’s own

Mardi Gras Parade & Celebration
Catch a Mardi Gras Parade, enjoy live music and drink hand grenades at Zelicks. Lock Push Grr 5K
The race aims to raise funds for the Texas State Wind Symphony, which will be premiering a new piece of music in spring 2018. Funds raised help offset the cost of the commission project and support the composer, Ryan Chase. The race also includes a kids 1K race. 8-9 a.m. $35 (preregistration), $40 (race day).
