Conroe and Montgomery are full of activity this weekend, Feb. 10-12, from a mother-son dance to an artist reception. Here are a few events to consider adding to your weekend plans.

City of Conroe Mother-Son Dance
Feb. 11
This annual mother-son bonding experience, hosted by the Conroe Parks and Recreation department, includes a night of dancing, dinner, a photo keepsake and prizes. The event is intended for children ages 5-11. 6 p.m.-9:30 p.m. $65 (per couple), $20 (per additional child). Parents Night Out
Feb. 11
Parents enjoy a night out while children ages 3-12 spend the evening at the Conroe Family YMCA playing games, making crafts, watching movies and eating snacks. Children must be potty trained and pre-registration is required. Dinner is not included. 6 p.m.-10 p.m. $10 (members), $5 per additional child (members), $15 (program members), $10 per additional child (program members). Artist Reception and Awards Ceremony

This second annual event celebrates the talent of local and nationwide artists whose work was entered in the Conroe Art League 2017 Invitational Show. Bake and Craft Sale
Feb. 11-12
Patrons can enjoy homemade baked goods and crafts from local vendors at this weekend-long event while looking for a new pet. All proceeds from craft and bake sales will benefit the Montgomery County Animal Shelter. Volunteer opportunities are available. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Free. “The Cemetery Club”
Feb. 10-12
This weekend marks the last opportunity theatregoers have to attend “The Cemetery Club,” a dramatic comedy written by Ivan Menchell and directed by Roger Ormiston. The play tells the story of three Jewish widows in Queens, New York who are the surviving half of three long-time best friends and their journey through grief. 8 p.m. (Feb. 10-11), 2 p.m. (Feb. 12). $15-$22.
