At International Family Night, hosted by Plano ISD, guests will celebrate diversity within the community. Families can partake in dinner, entertainment and cultural presentations performed by students from Murphy Middle School and other performances, including martial arts and traditional Aztec dancers. The free event will take place at Murphy Middle School, 620 N. Murphy Road, Plano.

Saturday 

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center of Plano, 4700 Alliance Blvd., Plano, will host “For Women for Life” Saturday from 8-11:30 a.m. At this free event women can take advantage of grip strength, balance and pulmonary function testings, breast exams, measure BMI and body fat and attend educational seminars with physicians. The event also offers screenings for cholesterol, hearing, skin cancer, oral cancer, head and neck cancer and blood pressure. Screenings are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis so attendees are encouraged to come early and sign up for a time slot. For more information visit the hospital website. Hub Streat is hosting a Food Truck Derby Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. At the event, attendees will vote on their favorite food truck, and the winner will have preferential treatment in terms of location and parking. The winning truck will also receive a plaque and be able to choose what days or weeks they want to park at Hub Streat and receive a plaque. A list of the food trucks competing can be found here. At the Rubber Stamp, Paper Craft & Scrapbook Show attendees will learn to create greeting cards, scrapbook pages among other crafts with a variety of vendors from around the country. The event cost $6 per person per day or $7 per person for both days, and will be held at Plano Centre, 2000 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (Sat.) and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (Sun.).
