What we reported Owner Robin Strickland opened Big Little Fudge in 2011. The business relocated to Montgomery Summit Business Park in March 2016 from its location on Hwy. 105 and was looking to expand the distribution of its fudge.
The latest Strickland said 2016 was a key year for Big Little Fudge. The business partnered with major distributors such as McLane, Core-Mark International and Grocers Supply. These distributors have allowed Strickland’s treats to be sold in big-name retailers, such as Sam’s Club, 7-Eleven and Buc-ee’s. Additionally, the shop was awarded best chocolate of 2016 at the Everyday Candy Planning Show, sponsored by Candy Industry Magazine.
What’s next Strickland said she is working to expand the distribution of Big Little Fudge in 2017 by talking with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. to offer her fudge in 200 stores regionally. She is hoping to have Big Little Fudge’s individually wrapped fudge available at Wal-Mart checkout lines and larger boxes in the candy and chocolate aisle.
