Shipley Do-nuts opened Nov. 1 and is locally owned and operated by JT Gulledge II.
The Houston-based chain offers more than 30 varieties of doughnuts, including the company’s signature hot glazed style. It also serves kolaches, pastries, and coffee and espresso drinks.

“We’ve been really blessed,” Gulledge said. “The community came out in full force, and we were overwhelmed with the support. I was definitely shocked how many people in the area already knew the Shipley name.”
Like other Shipley locations, the Bee Cave store has some creative control over the menu, creating exotic varieties patrons will not find anywhere else, he said.
What’s next
With everything on the menu made from scratch, Gulledge said the staffers’ main goal over the next few months will be to perfect their craft so the store can offer an improved product to customers.
He also said the location is looking to expand its menu of kolaches and introduce more doughnut varieties in the future.
